"Highways and Byways of France": Simon Taylor of Stone, Vine & Sun

Our June Tasting will feature a range of wines from the lesser known appellations of France. Simon believes there is so much to be enjoyed - and often at better value - outside the classic regions. This tasting of nine wines - a Crémant, three whites and reds, a rosé and a sweet wine - excludes Bordeaux, the Loire, the Rhône and Burgundy (with one outlier as the exception) for wines largely from the fringes of France. Instead we go east - Alsace and Jura; to the Mediterranean - Provence and the Languedoc; and south-west France. With a nod to summer and Simon's own taste for freshness in wine - the wines in the tasting average under 13% of alcohol. As usual Simon will be offering the wines, shipped exclusively by Stone, Vine & Sun, to our members with a healthy 15% discount.
